The Ontario Domestic Violence Death Review Committee (DVDRC) released the 2016 annual report. Since 2003, the DVDRC has reviewed 289 domestic homicide cases that resulted in 410 deaths. The 2016 annual report provides an overview of the committee, statistics, answers for frequently asked questions, and thoughts on moving forward to ensure domestic violence death reviews help with future prevention and enhancement of public safety. Risk factors for domestic homicide and a summary of recommendations for cases reviewed is located in the Appendix of the report.
