Abir Al Jamal, Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration
Abir Al Jamal received her MSW from King’s University College at Western. After obtaining a BA in Social Work from Beirut University College, she spent twenty years working with national social services agencies and international organizations in Lebanon such as Terre Des Hommes (TDH), the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Fund for Women (UNIFEM). Since moving to Canada she has been working with non-profit organizations that reflect her interest in community development and domestic violence in immigrant communities, and in research projects related to those fields.
