Geneviève Lessard

Geneviève Lessard, Laval University

Geneviève Lessard, Ph.D. is an Professor at the School of Social Work, Laval University and director of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Family Violence and Violence Against Women (CRI-VIFF). Her work focuses on various forms of victimization experienced by children, including exposure to domestic violence, cooccurrence of intimate partner violence and child maltreatment as well as issues related to child custody and associated collaboration practices. She is also interested in maternity and paternity in family violence contexts and in the prevention of intergenerational transmission of violence. In her research, she works closely with various practice settings with an objective of identifying innovative strategies of knowledge transfer and appropriation.
