Janelle Braun, Manitoba Justice Victim Services
Janelle Braun has been committed to working in the field of domestic violence for the past 18 years. Her experience working in a women’s shelter helped to inform and frame her Master’s thesis earned in Sociology in 2000. For the past 15 years, she has worked in both policy and management positions for Manitoba Justice Victim Services and is currently the Acting/Executive Director of the program. In addition, Ms. Braun is the current chair of Manitoba’s Domestic Violence Death Review Committee and participates in several inter-departmental and non-government committees that address the impact of victimization and the needs of victims.
