Lorinda Stoneman, BC Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General
Lorinda Stoneman is the Director of Policy for the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Branch of the BC Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General and has held various research and policy roles in the BC Public Service since 2012. In her current role, she oversees strategic policy related to several areas including violence against women, restorative justice, and victim services, and supports the branch in addressing domestic violence in BC including cross-government coordination. Lorinda graduated with a PhD from the School of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria in 2016 where she undertook research on criminal justice policy. She has published scholarly work on crime prevention and on female young offenders.
