Tracy Porteous, Ending Violence Association of BC

Tracy Porteous is a Registered Clinical Counsellor involved in developing and delivering programs related to violence against women for 33 years. Tracy is the Executive Director of the Ending Violence Association of BC, a Provincial Association that supports 240 anti-violence programs across BC that specialize in responding to sexual and domestic violence, child abuse and stalking.

Tracy was a member of B.C.’s first Domestic Violence Death Review Panel, has testified in front of federal Parliamentary committees and other inquiries, and works collaboratively with many sectors to develop programs and policy.

In 2013, she was an official delegate of Canada and speaker at the United Nations in New York. In 2014 she was honoured by the Governor General of Canada receiving the Persons Case medal for ‘exemplary contributions towards the equality of women in Canada’.
