Wendy Verhoek-Oftedahl, Government of Prince Edward Island
Wendy Verhoek-Oftedahl, Ph.D. is the Family Violence Prevention Coordinator for Prince Edward Island and Assistant Professor of the Practice of Epidemiology at Brown University. She is an injury epidemiologist with expertise in public health surveillance of intimate partner violence, child maltreatment, and elder abuse. She was a contributor to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Uniform Definitions for Public Health Surveillance of Intimate Partner Violence, Child Maltreatment and Elder Abuse. She served as state project manager for the US National Violent Death Reporting System and as coordinator of the Rhode Island Child Death Review Team.
